Hello, my name is Bernadette Dowle and I am one of the school counsellors at Sherwood Park Elementary. I am at the school every other Monday.

In my role, I aim to create a supportive and safe space where students can express themselves and grow. I incorporate a variety of approaches, including sand tray, play-based therapy, nature-informed activities, and mindfulness, to help students explore their feelings, face challenges, and build meaningful coping strategies. I also enjoy teaching social-emotional learning (SEL) in classrooms and collaborating closely with families, teachers, administrators, and community partners.

Outside of school, I love spending time in nature with my family, playing volleyball, painting, and traveling.
